Healthcare Is a Right
No one should go bankrupt for getting sick.
No one should have to ration medication or skip a doctor’s appointment because they can’t afford it.
We need universal healthcare – full stop.
A system that prioritizes patients, not profits
Because the only people who benefit from the current system are insurance executives and pharmaceutical CEOs.
And Medicare for All is the best step in that direction.
Right now, private insurance companies make money by denying care — not providing it. Their bottom line depends on rejecting claims and raising premiums. The system is designed to put corporate margins over human lives.
And prescription drugs? Americans pay more for them than any other country in the world.
That’s not because the drugs are better — it’s because pharmaceutical companies have monopolized the market and bought off Congress to protect their profits.
I’ve lived the stress of being uninsured. I’ve had to choose between getting care and paying rent. No one should ever have to make that decision, not in the richest country on Earth.
Healthcare is a human right — and I’ll fight to make sure it’s treated that way.
